Site plan

Updated: Feb 3

We finally finished our Annapurna site plan, showing contours at 2' intervals where we could install 2' retaining walls in order to terrace the property. Below is a snap shot.

The elevation data was obtained by using a laser level when it was dark outside. Pretty cool to see the lines formed by the laser on surfaces. Then the task was to transcribe those lines onto the AutoCAD file.

Now that we have such a diagram, it will enable us to start adding features like the entry poles with initially prayer flags, and later steel arches like Kailash.

Also, we are using this to design a community greenhouse with outdoor kitchen and guest quarters. It will generate a substantial portion of the community power with a bifacial solar array. It is centered on the existing but decommissioned swimming pool footprint. However, we'd like to retain the water storage aspect to stockpile 40K gallons of water we could heat in the summer which could be harvested in the winter.

This week we are fixing to consolidate all the dumpsters around the property into a proper recycling center near the USPS mailboxes in the southwest corner. This site plan shows not the current dumpsters in their far flung locations.

Update, end of January, 2025

We made plenty of updates to the site plan, as well as simplifying it to turn it into directories at each entrance. Here is the latest version.
